Frequently Asked Questions
What are your curriculum related expectations?
Grade R is not a mini Grade One. Learning takes place through play, fantasy, and fun. Gross motor and perceptual development are explored extensively. In Math – Math vocabulary is taught and reinforced so that it forms the foundation for formal Maths concepts that are taught from Grade One. However, Blairgowrie Primary follows the curriculum set by the GDE.

The zoning map can be found on the school’s website. This map is also available at the admissions office.
How is information filtered to parents?

Book club, art club and ball skills – these are part of the extra-murals, offered by the school. There is no fee involved. Rugga Boys, Playball, Future Golfers, Beaux-Arts Pottery and Modern Dancing with Angi’s Academy of Dance are optional. These are outsourced and are for your account.
