Arts & Culture

Arts and Culture are integral parts of our BPS community and allow learners to develop holistically. Learners are encouraged to participate in a diverse range of extramural activities.

The Grade 1, 2 and 3 learners are offered a drama activity per week as well as an art activity per week. The senior learners are offered the opportunity to compete in The National Eisteddfod, should learners wish to take part in this event, they are to attend the timetabled Eisteddfod activities where they will be coached to refine their items until the actual presentation that traditionally takes place in term 3.

There is also the opportunity for senior learners to take part in public speaking competitions. Learners interested in competing will need to attend the timetabled slot of their Grade, where they will be coached in teams leading to the competitions that traditionally take place in term 3.

To further promote and support these activities, various annual events happen at our school. They aim to provide platforms for learners to get involved, to excel in their art/cultural activity and to inspire others. We encourage and promote bringing awareness to our great diversity, and hereby promote school spirit through community building.
